Joe Viens puts the Hot in Hotlanta
FBR News

                                                                      Joe Viens #44 Valvoline Ford

FBR Motorsports turned it up a notch at Atlanta for 135 laps of  fast and furious racing this past Saturday night and Joe Viens piloting the 44 Valvoline Ford showed some muscle and grabbed the victory with Butch Davis hot on his tail in the 43 Valvoline Ford came home a close second and made it a win win for the ford camp at Atlanta. No longer the bridesmaid and still chasing the victory Kory Williams aka TFX brought the 18 M&M Toyota home third, Matty Watkins driving the 50 Vault Energy Chevrolet always in the front pack came home fourth and Daytona Champ Halford Moore 9 Budweiser Ford and a top runner here at FBR came in fifth. Our hard charger of the race award goes to Mark Page in the 33 Skoal Bandit Dodge after qualifying 16th raced his way to a seventh place finish.

Twenty two of FBR Motorsports VHR COT drivers took to the track at Atlanta, Matty Watkins in the 50 Vault Energy Chevrolet took the pole and Butch Davis on the outside made up the front row that saw seven different drivers lead with Kory Williams leading the most laps at 51. The action was hot and heavy up front with the battle for lead between Viens, Davis, Williams, Moore, and Watkins and new to FBR Jason Fuchs who flexed some muscle through out the race but the action wasn’t confined to the leaders as some great battles for position ensued through the field and the fans witnessed some very tight racing which is a testament to the caliber of drivers that race here at FBR. Joe Veins may have only lead nine laps but it was the most important one that gave him a well deserved win here at Atlanta with a 0.05 margin of victory. FBR Motorsports reporter Mark Page once again sat down with the top three and the seventh and ninth place finishers after the race for their insight with a post race interview. Sit back and relax and click below to hear what the drivers had to say about their race at Atlanta.

Looking at the points Kory Williams is in the top spot at 705 with four top fives and no wins, Matty Watkins in second at 685 with four top fives, two poles and one win, Halford Moore is in third at 666 with one win one pole and three top fives, Mark Page gained one spot to fourth at Atlanta with three top tens and no wins. Ron (The Sly) Fox rounds out the top five at 523 with three top tens and no wins. Butch Davis is charging to the top five at sixth with 460 one win and two top fives. Other notables Marco Brughelli has moved up three positions to seventh at 457 with two top fives. The troubles for Mike Norris continue to mount  after having a great 09 season is currently in ninth place at 424 but don’t count Mike out as I’m sure he will be out of the slump soon.

FBR Motorsports Super Speedway Series starts this Wednesday at Daytona in the Nationwide cars with 50 laps of super speedway action. There’s still plenty of room to get in on this series and will run every other Wednesday at 06:30pm EST and will rotate between the COT, Nationwide, Trucks, IROC and Aero88 mods at Daytona, Talladega, Pocono, Michigan and Indianapolis. This is a non point’s and open setup series but a champion will be crowned at the end of the series season so send the wife and kids off to Chucky Cheese on Wednesdays and join us if you can. As always until week after next when the teams go to Bristol for some short track racing this is your FBR Motorsports reporter Mark Page reminding you to Drive fast and keep it off the wall

Butch Davis says show me the money with a win at Las Vegas
FBR News

                                                                 Butch Davis #43 STP Ford

FBR Motorsports rolled the dice at Las Vegas this week and Butch Davis in the 43 STP Ford had the winning hand and took the victory, but before we get to the report I would like to give a special thank you to Ron (The Sly) Fox for stepping in and conducting this weeks post race interviews. I was a little under the weather this week and unable to complete the race and Ron mastered the interviews in true FBR style that you all expect. Now on to the results, as mentioned Butch Davis after a poor finish with a blown motor at Daytona and missing California came to Vegas and showed the competition that he was back by not only winning the event but leading the most laps. Kory Williams in the 18 M&M Toyota seems to be the bride’s maid once again with a strong second place finish but rest assured it won’t be long before we will be writing about Kory in victory lane. Rick Ravan aka Savats piloting the 1 Gould Charge Chevrolet finished third and showed that he’s in the hunt for a win. New comer to FBR Matty Watkins driving the 50 Vault Energy Chevrolet finished fourth after suffering some front end damage proved once again that he will always be in the hunt for a win here at FBR Motorsports. Marco Brughelli brought the 11 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet home to a respectable fifth place finish and is proving to be a driver that can get the job done. Our hard charger of the race award goes to Michael Born in the 14 Old Spice Chevrolet came home 6th after starting 15th on the grid.

The race proved to be a gamble for some and a bust for others as plenty of action could be seen through out the field. Davis was strong and on some occasions had to work his way through the field a few times suffering from some pit stops that put him to the back of the field. The action was hot and heavy up front and the fans were treated to some great racing between Davis, Williams, and Ravan. Matty Watkins took the pole with a 30.11 and Kory Williams with a close 30.15 made up the front row. Eighteen drivers took the green flag and the fans were treated to twenty different lead changes between seven drivers but when the cards were put on the table Davis after leading 45 laps took the win with a 1.07 margin of victory. Now it’s time to listen in on the post race interviews conducted this week by Ron Fox so grab that beverage and listen in to what our drivers had to say by clicking the link below.

Next week FBR Motorsports is packing up the haulers and heading to Hotlanta the super fast mile and a half that breeds fast racing and nerves of steel, you don’t want to miss this one. Will Butch Davis make it two in a row? will Kory Williams get that first win of the season? Will one of our other drivers surprise everyone and take the checkers? We will see and we hope you join us, so until next week this is your FBR Motorsports reporter Mark Page reminding you to Drive fast and keep it off the wall.

Matty Watkins conquers California
FBR News

Matty Watkins #50 Vault Energy Drink Chevrolet

FBR Motorsports VHR COT premier series headed to California this past Saturday night and treated the fans to a three way battle for the win and Matty Watkins piloting the 50 Vault Energy drink Chevrolet would not be denied the victory with a two tire green flag pit stop and edged out Kory Williams aka TFX in the 18 M&M Toyota with another second place finish. Halford Moore our Daytona Champ in the 9 Budweiser Ford stayed in the mix with a third place finish while Marco Brughelli driving the 4 Bass Pro shops Chevrolet and a new driver to FBR took fourth place and a hard charging Rick LePage wheeled the number 7 FBR Toyota to a fifth place finish. Our hard charger of the race award goes to yours truly Mark Page in the 33 Skoal Bandit after starting 15th came home in 6th place.

Halford Moore set the pace with a qualifying time of 39.06 and Matty Watkins with a time of 39.11 made up the front row as sixteen FBR COT drivers took the green flag for 100 laps of racing. After some cautions in the first half of the race our drivers settled down and a three way battle for the front spot ensued between Watkins, Williams and Moore but the two tire gamble paid off for Matty at the end and a celebration was in order for a well deserved win and a 0.28 margin of victory with 15 lead changes among five drivers. California proved to be a tough track for some as a tricky exit from turn two proved to be a problem for some and a blessing for others. Our FBR Motorsports reporter Mark Page was able to interview our top five drivers following the race so grab your favorite beverage and click blow to hear the interviews.

FBR Motorsports Forms New International VHR COT Series
FBR News

FBR Motorsports is proud to announce that we have formed an International VHR COT Series that will be run on Friday evenings @ 6pm Eastern time.. This allows us to provide our European drivers with a structured league environment while maintaining the integrity of our server for our North American VHR COT Series that will continue to run on Saturday nights..

After experiencing some major connection issues in our season opener at Daytona, the administration here at FBR Motorsports has been hard at work trying to find a solution or alternate plan to allow our foreign drivers the opportunity to continue racing with us.. The International Series we are offering will provide those drivers with the chance to race against any and all drivers who would like to attend, no matter their location.. European, South American, North American, and every other continent is more than welcome to race in this series.. Also, the earlier start time helps our European drivers who were forced to race until well after 2am local time while still being at a time when many drivers are available.. The interest level for the American drivers has been positive, and many of the top North American drivers plan to run both series..

Because of the connection problems that were an issue during the Daytona race, FBR Motorsports is also implementing new rules to help keep those issues under control.. Regardless of location, if a driver's connection is affecting the server in an adverse way, that driver will not be able to race..

All of our European and South American drivers are being moved into the new International Series to maintain the integrity of the North American Series, but it should be noted that many of the top North American drivers are already making arrangements to run in the Friday series..

This series will kick off the week following the California event, as this gives our foreign drivers more time to prepare and make adjustments to the day and time change as well as offer input into the series itself..
